THE LYNDA ELLIS ACHIEVEMENT AWARD AND SCHOLARSHIP FOR OUTSTANDING UNDERGRADUATE WOMEN
Kaitlyn A. Bloch
Senior Management major
Bloch is the true embodiment of the entrepreneurial spirit. A native San Antonian,
Bloch has undertaken three entrepreneurial ventures. The latest of which, Cloud 9 Lives, couples her love of pets with her innovative business know-how. Bloch has also interned at The Learning Company at Alamo Colleges and the St. Mary’s University Meadows Center for Entrepreneurial Studies. She’s also competed and won highly competitive pitch competitions. In addition to putting her business savvy to work, Bloch is president of the St. Mary’s chapter of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization and volunteers with
San Antonio Youth Literacy.
The Lynda Ellis Women in Business Scholarship was established thanks to the generosity of Lynda Ellis (B.A.S. ’81), herself an outstanding businesswoman and member of the St. Mary’s University Board of Trustees. This scholarship recognizes an outstanding undergraduate woman who has demonstrated exceptional academic achievement, a flair for entrepreneurial thought and action, and a deep commitment to the mission of St. Mary’s University and the Greehey School of Business.
