The Drama Department at St. Mary’s University provides for the artistic foundation of the University. We contribute to the advancement of human understanding in three ways:  by expanding aesthetic awareness in the community; by demonstrating the creative human spirit through active scholarship, training and performance; and by fostering the interactive dynamic between apprentice and professional. Committed to artistic excellence, the department serves the University and the city of San Antonio through its academic courses, performances, workshops, and other off-campus endeavors while striving toward inclusiveness, promotes artistic traditions and innovations and engages in interpreting the ever-present dialogue between faith and culture.
