Charles Cotrell, Ph.D., President Emeritus of St. Mary’s, will moderate a panel discussion that includes:
- U.S. Representative Joaquin Castro
- Lydia Camarillo, President of the Southwest Voters Registration Education Project (joining virtually)
- José Garza, civil rights attorney, Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid
- Doro Olivo, former member of the Texas House of Representatives
This is the third annual event the Political Science Department has hosted in honor of Choco Gonzalez Meza, a St. Mary’s alumna and lifelong political activist.
